The Executive branch of Student Government is led by the Student Body President who directs members of an Executive Board. The Student Body president is chosen via an election-based process in the Spring, while members of the Executive Board are chosen from an application-based process near the end of the academic year. The Executive branch of Student Government is responsible for developing a supportive community on the Durham, Morganton, and Online campuses.
The Treasury branch of Student Government is led by the Student Body Treasurer who directs members of a Treasury Advisory Board. The Treasury branch is responsible for the monetary dealings of Student Government, including club funding. When a club requests funding, the Treasury branch is responsible for processing the request and approving funds. The Student Body Treasurer is chosen via an elections-based process while members of the Treasury Advisory Board are chosen via an application-based process.Â
The Student Senate is led by the Senate President, and is comprised of 6 senior senators who lead 6 committees. Additionally, 6 junior senators and dorm/hall representatives are elected in the Fall. All students are invited to participate in Senate committee meetings!
